Planned parenthood had its day. If you want to keep it for women’s health care, you don’t need it. Women and men and children now have the national Affordable Care Act, sometimes called Obamacare. For women’s health care, it includes mammograms, pelvic exams, baby health care, gynecologists, family doctors, counseling and don’t forget Medicaid. Check it out.
Quickly, do I understand this correctly? Pavilion Partners got a sweet deal from the state to put together a money making machine at the Dunes right on the lake, and they’re trying to get a liquor license to make it even sweeter. Now to steal even more business from the other local restaurants, bars, and shops; they want taxpayers to pay for a shuttle service which would only benefit them. What a deal.
It is sad that you who warned someone about sowing seeds. I say sad because you are falling into a trap. What trap? The trap of anger. You are one who holds grudges and fighter pilots have a word for that – Target Fixation. You will now be focused on that other person to the point you will become them. You have already lost and they have won, but may never know they have angered you. Life can be a cruel taskmaster. Checkmate.
You have to admire Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner. He has accurately recognized the state problems and is trying to make the right moves, but he is dealing with 30 years of past corruption. If they want to get back on the right course, the people of Illinois have to get the right people elected to back up Rauner.
They don’t want abortion, they don’t want welfare, they don’t want national health care. Who do you suppose would take care of the babies from unwanted pregnancies? Lots more soldiers and prisoners I suppose.
Taking down and cleaning up around all the old, beat-up buildings will only basically help the looks and some crime, but it will be a long ways from ending the crime in Gary.
Where is there voter suppression in Indiana? I’ve been voting for 57 years and nobody has ever stopped me from voting. I’ve walked to vote, road a bike to vote, voted while in the Army. Nobody kept me from voting. People are lazy and that is why the vote is low. They are the first to complain. Too bad. You didn’t vote.
Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are the only good Republican and Democratic presidential candidates. No wonder Trump is leading the Republican candidate polls — because people are fed up with Washington and our dysfunctional do-nothing government. Trump has the guts to tell the truth about our unsecured borders, illegal immigration and lopsided fair trade agreements and unfair trade. Bernie Sanders is for a single-payer health care system and sounds a little like a Socialist. These are the only two candidates talking any sense on some issues and the only two worth voting for.
Is it just me or is “The Donald” a bully and dictator? He seems to tear anyone to shreds for no apparent reason other than they may question him or disagree with him on any minor point. I say this even as I admit I like his intestinal fortitude enough to say what others know to be true but would rather pretend they don’t.
The death penalty is legal and so is abortion but that does not make either one morally correct.
Where are all of these great jobs that you speak of? Are you hiring?
