Molly Lane, 34, moved to La Grange this year from Chicago’s West Loop and said she finds it a welcome change. She and her husband, Kevin, are the parents of Liam, 2, and Emmett, 3 months.
Q: What do you like about living in La Grange?
A: It has a nice community feel. I have really friendly neighbors, and there’s lots of places to eat.
Q: What do you shop for at the farmers market on Thursdays?
A: I always get things from Aracely’s Bakery, and we eat a lot of berries.
Q: What is your favorite local restaurant or store?
A: I like Nickson’s. We went to the lobster fest. Unfortunately, my son didn’t like the lobster rolls.
Q: Where are you from originally?
A: Worthington, Ohio, near Columbus, the capital.
Q: What brought you to the Chicago area?
A: After graduating from college, I came here to go into advertising.
Q: What was your first job?
A: A hostess in a restaurant.
Q: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: A zoologist, but then my dad said I’d be working with dead animals. I realized my strength is in the humanities and not science.
Q. What do you do now?
A: I like advertising, being in a creative environment. I’m in the health care field.
I just went back to work, after my son was born. It’s interesting juggling all this. I’m getting a little less sleep.
Q. What’s your favorite holiday?
A: My birthday.
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: I like learning about wine. Rose is nice for the summer.
Q: What reality show would you be on?

Q: Who would play you in a movie of your life?
A: Lauren Graham, who was Lorelai in the “Gilmore Girls.”
Q. What words of wisdom would you offer?
A: Do your best to always be kind to people.
