Can’t trust task force

The Lake County Major Crime Task Force was the major evidence provider in more than one case that resulted in conviction and years in prison for the “criminal.” When the verdict was overturned and the “felon” freed, the taxpayers of Lake County were left on the hook for millions of dollars. Do not rush to judgment with your trust until the “secret” evidence is available and subject to extensive examination.

Much ado about nothing

Really? The one fact the coroner gave out will jeopardize the case, but the police saying that multiple shots were fired is OK? Sounds like the cops have got their undies in a bunch over nothing. I suspect there are political rivalries involved.

Random DNA testing

The evidence of the Fox Lake police officer’s shooting isn’t going anywhere. How can they randomly pick people up and take their DNA without them even being suspect?

Coroner is doing his job

Words can be inflammatory, all you have to do is add the word suicide. The coroner only said that he didn’t know how the bullet got there regarding the officer that was killed in Fox Lake. There’s a mob mentality around things that happen and people need to keep a cool head and realize the coroner is just doing his job. Maybe he should have said “undetermined.” We don’t know who shot the officer or what happened. It’s a very sad, tragic situation but everybody wants somebody to blame. Don’t jump on the coroner because it’s unfair the way people are reacting. I’m sorry about the whole thing for everybody.

Illegal parking by school

This is to Mayor Motley: Why has Waukegan abandoned 0-100 block of North Victory Street when it comes to parking enforcement? Every school day at pick-up and drop-off time people are parked illegally on our street. It is very difficult to get through. Police are rarely seen, although I have observed squad cars drive through without stopping to issue any tickets. When will something be done by the city and school district? I understand that the city has budget problems, but issuing tickets would help this problem. Please help to get permanent resolution to this problem.

Questions to ponder

Do you wonder why China is building islands in the China Sea? Do you wonder why Russia is claiming the Arctic Ocean seabed? They are thinking ahead. My guess is that oil supplies from the current sources will decrease greatly in the next 30 years. They are not making oil any more. By then most of the oil left will be in the China and Arctic seabeds. No American politician seems to be concerned about what is happening. You should also wonder why China is buying so much African farm land.

Kim Davis is a slacker

Kim Davis in Kentucky took a job with an oath to uphold the law. Now she says the law conflicts with her religion. Her choice is simple: Find a new job. If any of us refused to do our job and turned our workplace into a media circus, we would be fired. We all know that. This country was founded on freedom of religion, it was also founded on freedom from religion. This is why a county clerk who turns vegan cannot refuse to issue hunting licenses. The Pilgrims came here because people in power in England persecuted them for believing differently and took the right to believe and follow their own religious customs away from them. Davis isn’t a Christian hero. She is persecuting the pilgrims of her county. She is a criminal for breaking the law and is a slacker who expects to be paid for not working.
