The 1,600 cc pushrod engine generated 75 horsepower and was mated to a 4-speed manual transmission but its real appeal was on the outside, with a psychedelic paint job replete with butterflies, rainbows and peace doves by friend Dave Richards, who was also a roadie with her band, Big Brother and the Holding Company. The legendary folk rocker owned it from 1968 to her death in 1970.
