Bill Murray was a no-show at the Emmys on Sunday but he was spotted in Philadelphia this weekend celebrating a different honor.
Murray attended the weekend wedding of his son Luke Murray, an assistant men’s basketball coach at Xavier University in Ohio, to Kara Cassidy, a former assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Pennsylvania, according to social media posts.
Bill Murray jumped on stage at the wedding, a representative for Chevy Chevis Entertainment, which provided entertainment for the wedding, posted on Instagram.
Murray, who turned 65 on Monday and was raised in Wilmette, won a supporting actor Emmy for his role in the 2014 HBO miniseries “Olive Kitteridge.” It has been more than 35 years since his last Emmy win, for his work on “Saturday Night Live.”
Murray, who was inducted in The Caddie Hall of Fame last week in Lake Forest, is slated to appear on the big screen next month in “Rock the Kasbah.”
