A bicyclist who was hit by a vehicle in Lincolnwood Sunday night remained hospitalized in critical condition this week, according to Lincolnwood Police.
The 18-year-old Chicago woman, whose identity has not been released, was riding her bike along the eastbound lanes of Pratt Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 when she was struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross the intersection at McCormick Boulevard. The driver has not been cited, according to Lieutenant Randy Rathmell of the Lincolnwood Police Department.
The bicyclist reportedly was seen crossing the street against a red light signal and was wearing dark-colored clothing, police said.
The driver of the vehicle pulled over and called police following accident, according to Rathmell.
The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital.
Police said additional details would be provided pending an ongoing investigation.
