In what passes for the Obama administration’s notion of bipartisanship, President Barack Obama is issuing an executive order demanding that individuals “in the business of selling firearms” must be licensed gun dealers, (a process that can take as much as a year), and, if they are not, the offenders will be prosecuted.
This is creating a law, which the separation of powers under the U.S. Constitution clearly says is the role of the legislative branch and ONLY the legislative branch. An executive who issues their own laws is a monarch — or worse. This is executive overreach of the very worst kind and cannot stand. No matter how many tears the president sheds.
