I wonder how many Bears fans have died (or weren’t even born yet) since 1985, the year the team last won a championship? Only in Chicago do football fans live in the past and celebrate 30 years of failure. And the Cubs, well, that speaks for itself.

Every bit of these cameras has been corrupt. I think that every fine incurred by a driver should be refunded. These cameras have proven again that Chicago and the state have the best politicians that money can buy.

If Trump is the answer, as numerous uninformed commenters have said, the question must be: “Who is the least qualified to be president among the major candidates?”

Bill, Oak Lawn

According to a flier in the mail I received, the Village of Tinley Park is still dabbling in real estate matters. They want to develop a “master plan” for the 280 acres of land at 183rd and Harlem, aka the Tinley Park Mental Hospital. The only “say” the village has is zoning. I believe the best use of the land is commercial or another hospital or university. This “master plan” meeting looks like a rubber stamp for whatever the village officials have already decided. According to the 11th commandment, “Village officials shall not invest or speculate in real estate with taxpayers’ money for nonpublic purposes.” Tinley should follow this rule when discussing this issue.

Ask and you will get less. Riders on Metra asked for new seats. So what happened? Metra went and bought the cheapest seats they could find and are immovable. Thanks, Metra. You are a credit to government bureaucrats everywhere.

There have been many pros and cons about Gov. Rauner. To settle the differences, why can’t we just blame everything on Gov. Rauner’s predecessor? It worked for President Obama, didn’t it?

George

Somebody should tell Trump, he is running for president not dictator.

Enough complaining about Tinley Park employees and their perks. Lots of jobs have perks like take-home cars. Other villages have perks and take-home cars. State employees have perks and take-home cars. You say that taxpayers are paying for the perks of Tinley Park employees, but you also need to realize that all full-time Tinley employees have to live in the village. So, guess what? They are also taxpayers. So I hope that this is the last time we hear about this, because it’s getting old. Before you speak out, know the facts.

If there is no indictment of Hillary Clinton for her lack of security with government documents, just remember this: Ignoring the facts does not change the facts.

Now we have to make the Oscars about race now too. So if a black person was nominated, the African-American population would be OK? What if they were nominated just to be nominated, just so there was a black person on the ticket? Would that make them happy? What if they were nominated and won, but really didn’t deserve to win? Or were nominated and didn’t win? Would that spark a huge controversy too? Isn’t the president of the academy black? Can’t make everyone happy. Maybe they should sue the academy too. Oh, what about BET? Or the BET awards? Do white peoples post boycotts on Facebook? Come on.

After watching a recent NFL playoff game, I have come to the conclusion that there isn’t enough mustard manufactured in the entire world to cover the hot dogs in the NFL. A player makes a routine play now and he goes into histrionics, as though he has found the cure for cancer. Get over it.
