Someone needs to tell the Republican candidates for president that Barack Obama isn’t running for president again. They rarely mention Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, but go on and on about Obama. He isn’t running. Move on. Talk about your plans and policies for the future. Stop going on and on about a lame duck.
Throughout history, our elected leaders from both political parties have stolen from Medicare and Social Security funds to finance other pet projects. But in my lifetime on both programs these past 15 years, the only cuts I have personally experienced are Medicare cuts used to sponsor Obamacare. When Mr. Trump says no Social Security cuts under his rule, he has my attention.
Donald Trump finally revealed the GOP health plan. They’re not going to let people “die in the street.” So, as long as you can make your way out into the street to die, the GOP will take care of you. I envision legions of garbage trucks cruising the streets, looking for critically ill people.
Enough with where to get wooden matches! There were 4 today alone! And I’ve read at least a dozen before that! If they haven’t gotten their wooden matches yet then they just aren’t trying.
The Super Bowl was a good game but the commercials where the worst ever, bring back the Clydesdales, Cindy Crawford and Doritos. What a waste of money this year was.
Every watering hole in Indiana has a Super Bowl pool. Indiana’s excise police took $200,000. I feel sorry for that bar owner and his customers who were randomly victimized by the excise police! Shame on them for taking the fun out of their Super Bowl night and victimizing the bar owner. Sounds like the excise police needs to be policed!

Now I have to pay out even more. When are you Democrats going to quit raising taxes? I work hard for my money and every year my taxes go up . Because instead of cutting taxes so we can get more people working you’d rather bring in more revenue on our backs . I will never vote Democrat again.
Mike Pence and the rest of the Indiana Republicans hate Northwest Indiana. We have been neglected by our own government for too long. Vote John Gregg for governor. Vote Democrat.
To the person complaining about Indiana being like Communist Russia. Move to Illinois. You deserve each other.
When the market tanked in the last year of George W. Bush’s administration, all the liberals were screaming that the Republicans were “tanking” the economy. Now that the market is tanking in Barack Obama’s final year, the liberals are deathly quiet. Quite the hypocritical double standard we have come to expect from a liberal.

What a disappointing halftime Super Bowl show. They can’t even perform a live show anymore. Janet Jackson should get residual payments for all of these entertainers copying her routines.

I’d like to comment on these NFL football players who are making millions of dollars and continue to do their dance in the end zone after making a touchdown. They are paid to do a job, not dance, let’s leave that to “Dancing with the Stars.”
I’ve been waiting for anyone in the Republican Party to show me that they can work with unions instead of always trying to destroy them.
For the Republican comment about “Democrats and corrupt ” Guess you forgot about Nixon and Watergate or you are to young to remember. They have all been and as far as the Clinton’s Hillary was not at fault for the weakness of her spouse . Many women have faced this problem and she stood strong.
My dear old daddy taught me all about the political parties before he passed. In my 72 years, I have found his basic principal to be true with very few exceptions. The Republicans represent the families of the working man of all types of jobs and income levels-the productive members of society. The Democrats represent the non-productive members such as the unions and those on welfare. Many people do not do their homework and vote for the wrong party to represent them.
Donald Trump thinks wages are too high and refuses to consider raising the minimum wage. At the same time, he proposes tax breaks for the wealthy that will mean millions in savings for him, his family, and others like them. Still, struggling middle class workers idolize him. After all, he’s vulgar, loud, and “tells it like it is,” whatever that means. Good grief. We’re doomed.
It sure is good to see the democratic editor of Quickly is alive and well and publishing nothing but liberal-leaning Quicklies again.
It looks good down the road with Trump and Sanders winning New Hampshire. I feel they will be the final two and that they both have the wisdom and motivation to bring back the good paying jobs that the unions shipped overseas these past years.
Paczkis are wonderful, but does anyone know a restaurant or bar that celebrates Mardi Gras New Orleans style, with genuine Dixieland music? Can’t find any.
