A Kane County judge has acquitted a 54-year-old Geneva man of sex assault and abuse charges involving a pre-teen female over the course of several years.
Robb Louk was arrested in 2013 on allegations he fondled the girl at his home between 2005 and 2012, according to court records which indicated the girl told several people she had been touched inappropriately by Louk. An investigation began in November 2012 after the girl, who was under 13 years old at the time, said Louk molested her in his basement. Louk declined to speak to authorities and denied the charges in court and to his wife, court records show.
During a one-day bench trial before Judge James Hallock this week, prosecutors called the girl and a Kane County Advocacy Center investigator to testify, while Louk and two relatives took the witness stand in his defense, case records indicate.
After hearing the testimony, Hallock found Louk not guilty of five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one count of predatory criminal sexual assault.
