A Palatine woman ran her car into the Thorntons gas station at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in South Elgin, 900 N. LaFox St. (Route 31) when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the break, South Elgin police said.
The accident broke out front windows at the convenience store, bending the frame as well, police said. The vehicle, a 2007 Toyota Rav 4, received front end damage.
She was not ticketed in the crash, police said.
