One person was critically injured during a Wednesday morning crash in Round Lake.
A 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and 2008 Honda Odyssey minivan crashed about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday on Fairfield Road just south of Belvidere Road, according to a news release from the Lake County sheriff’s office.
The driver of the Chrysler was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in critical condition, police said. The driver of the Honda was not injured.
Investigators determined the northbound Chrysler rear-ended the Honda, which was stopped in traffic, according to the release.
The Lake County sheriff’s office’s technical crash investigations unit is investigating, and any witnesses are asked to call 847-549-5200.
