In Debbie Tucker’s work as broker associate for the Century 21 Affiliated Winfield office in Crown Point, she comes across all kinds of real estate listings.

When she became the listing agent for 9201 E. 109th Ave., Crown Point, that led to the opening of Two Bills Tap America’s Sports Tap & Grill.

“It’s great. We love it. We love seeing our friends, meeting new people and taking care of them. The service is No. 1 to us,” said Tucker, who along with her husband, Bill, has a financial interest in Two Bills Tap, which opened in February.

The other Bill in the moniker comes from building owner Bill Delgado, of Lake of the Four Seasons, who used to own Delgado’s Cantina in Crown Point.

“We expanded it so we added almost 1,000 square feet on it,” said Tucker about the former site of the Family Express gasoline station.

Chris Pavlou, of Crown Point, runs Pav’s Caddyshack Grill at Two Bills Tap, which is right before the Lake of the Four Seasons entrance.

“What I like about his food is he puts love in everything he does. It’s the special ingredient. He’s known for the sub sandwiches. The Caddyshack burger is the best,” said Tucker.

Prices start at $3.99 for jumbo dogs, $4.99 for appetizers, $5.99 for burgers and pizza and $7.99 for sandwiches and salads.

Pavlou, who owns Sandwich City in Crown Point and Pav’s in Hebron, also offers golf-themed dishes such as the Hole in One and Early Birdie burgers, deep-fried macaroni and cheese Gopher Fire Balls, hand-cut Irish fries with homemade ranch dressing, Italian beef and gyros.

“We have a lot of different beers. It’s a new bar so it’s all granite. We have a large selection of all different types of liquors,” said Tucker.

Only ages 21 and older are allowed at Two Bills Tap, where Lisa Ghezzi, of Lake of the Four Seasons, is manager and Mark Miller, of Lake of the Four Seasons, is general manager.

“It (allows) smoking, which is rare, but we have two very expensive smoke eaters to accommodate our nonsmoking customers as well,” said Tucker, of Lake of the Four Seasons. “We also have two ceiling fans going. We’re not afraid to open the patio doors to get fresh air in there. It’s really clean.”

In addition to Debbie Tucker and Bill Tucker, who is general sales manager at Paul Sur’s Buick GMC in Valparaiso, other family involved include daughter Hannah Ottesen and nephew Joe Faron as bartenders, nephew Kenny Gibbon as disc jockey and sister-in-law Debbie Amos as a server, all of Lake of the Four Seasons.

Two Bills Tap, which can accommodate 115 people, offers a pull-tab gaming machine, a jukebox that takes photos, live entertainment a few times a month and golf cart and motorcycle parking. An outdoor patio is slated to open soon.

Hours: Opens at 11 a.m. daily. Kitchen open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
