A 61-year-old man was gunned down while sitting on a porch with his 3-year-old great-nephew in the 9200 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in the city’s Burnside neighborhood on Aug. 8, 2016. The 61-year-old was one of at least three people shot Aug. 8 in Chicago.
