The wonderful world of the Children’s Theatre of Western Springs will be revealed to families at the CTWS Season Kickoff Party, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 27 at 4384 Hampton Ave.
“Our big show-stopping event is that Frankie Ace is coming,” said Children’s Theatre Director Leslie Price. “As it turns out, we have some really fantastic magicians among our high school students. He’s allowing them to do a five-minute opening act for him. That’s a fun way to showcase our students.”
Information about CTWS’s classes for kindergartners through high school students will be shared and visitors will have a chance to meet the faculty and tour the theater. “We’ll have some workshops that folks can do so they can try theater games and see if they want to sign up,” Price said.
You’ll also hear about the season of shows, which includes “Alice in Wonderland,” “Elf,””Cinderella” and more.
Snow cones will be served at this free event.
