It amazes me how all of a sudden they’ve got Republican nominee Donald Trump as dangerous to be the president of the United States and blah, blah, blah. Hey, I’m voting for Donald Trump because he’s a nonpolitician and maybe somebody that hasn’t been tainted by all this corruption in both political parties. It may not affect this man, and maybe he might be able to straighten this country out.
You people say that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is dishonest. How many people out there can actually turn their finger around and point at themselves and say that they are truly honest — honest with themselves and honest with other people and honest in general? Also, when you go to the grocery store, how many people do you see out there and you think are really honest and that you can depend on?
I’d just like to make a comment about the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville. You are not going to demolish that Star Plaza Theatre. You hear me? That place is not going to get torn down. It’s not going to get torn down, period, so don’t even think about it.
To address one of Republican president nominee Donald Trump’s latest mouth farts: To begin with, in Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech of being named Democratic nominee at the Democratic National Convention, she said she was not trying to do away with the Second Amendment. Secondly, what I heard was an assassination threat against Hillary Clinton, and I think a lot of other people did too. They keep supporting this man, but they always have to explain what he says.
To the commenter that says that Republican leaders keep saying that the things Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is saying do not represent the feelings of the Republicans: I agree with you 100 percent because they voted him in. They voted him in so how are they going to say that he doesn’t represent them? I agree with you 100 percent.
I’ll bet the bodyguards for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton all have guns — you know, those things that she wants to take away from everybody else.
Do you know what the greatest threat to our democracy is? The liberal biased media. Every day, even in Quickly, there’s all the bashing of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and not hardly any bashing of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton or bashing of President Barack Obama. Come on. If Trump is so bad why did so many people vote for him?
The Chicago Cubs should get rid of Chris Coghlan and bring back Tommy La Stella. Tommy La Stella was a better infielder and outfielder.
These political rallies on television with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump and all this were just way too long. It’s just created such a bad atmosphere, and people kind of lose interest in their politics and their country because of it. As the saying goes, “The government that governs the least governs the best,” and I think we’ve gotten away from that strategy. Also, I think the less interference with government in our lives, the better our country is.
Why do you keep talking about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, all the Republicans and things like that? We’ve got more problems around here in Portage, Hobart, Lake Station, Valparaiso and Merrillville. Why aren’t you talking about mayors, councilmen and what you see every day from the police department? You can’t be a police officer but your opinion counts.
I would like to know why Cheryl Scott is bringing on the weather during the day and at night on Channel 7. Where’s chief meteorologist Jerry Taft at? I don’t want to see her day and night. I would like to see someone else.
