A man robbed a business in the 300 block of South McLean Boulevard Sunday afternoon, Elgin police said.
The incident took place around 4:45 p.m. when a man entered the business with a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register then fled the store, according to a news release. A video surveillance in the store captured the incident and police are circulating a photo of the suspect, the release stated.
Investigators from the Major Investigations Division are following up on this incident, the release stated. Anyone can provide anonymous tips or information via the crime line at 847-695-4195 or by texting 847411 and including ELGINPD in the beginning of the text, along with the message and tip information, it stated.
