I can understand prominent Republicans being against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for some of his views. What I don’t understand is why not one prominent Democrat has spoken out against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Lord knows she currently has enough faults and errors in her candidacy that someone in the Democratic Party should call her out on, as they’ve done in the Republican Party with Donald Trump.
Regarding Gary Community School Corp.: Since they did a lot of layoffs, the school board and Superintendent Cheryl Pruitt should go and help the school out. They should go help and fill the gap. Help the teachers and the principals at these schools because they are having a hard time with the layoffs. Tell the school board and superintendent to go and help the public schools especially during the cafeteria lunch hour.
Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney went to England and he made those people mad. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump went to Mexico and he made them mad. When are these people going to learn that it doesn’t matter what another country thinks? The vote is here in America. He didn’t look presidential. He just looked like another photo op, like his visit to flood-damaged Louisiana was. Let’s get to the issues.
When I was a child I was taught by my parents and other family members to always stand at attention during the national anthem to show respect for this country and for what it stands for and also for the veterans who were willing to fight and the ones who’ve given their lives in defense of this country. Show respect. Obviously Colin Kaepernick, that quarterback from the San Francisco 49ers, was raised wrong and I would tell that straight to his parents’ faces. End of story.
Have you ever paid attention or are you that smart to notice that politicians and people that make laws are the first to break them? They implement laws and expect us to obey them and they’re the first to break them. What kind of society are we to allow people to get into high positions and do what they do?
Donald Trump called him “Lyin’ Ted” dozens of times, insulted his wife, and implied that his father was an assassin, yet Ted Cruz now says he will vote for him. You can’t make this stuff up. Republicans up and down the line are absolutely devoid of moral principles.
My heartfelt thanks to the emergency room nurse from St. Mary’s who came to my assistance when the escalator stopped at Carson’s and I fell on Thursday. I couldn’t see you but I heard you and felt you checking me. I never got a chance to tell you and wanted you to know I am very grateful for your aid.
It’s ridiculous to see the salaries some of the people that work for the city of Gary make.
“Words for your wisdom” recently stated “life is simply a matter of opinion.” No, there is an objective reality to life. An opinion that reflects that reality is the better opinion. While civility is important, we should reject opinions that distort reality and threaten our well being.
I sure hope the citizens of Gary refuse to fall for the school systems referendum this fall to increase property taxes to help bail them out of their financial mess. They created the mess themselves, so they can undo the mess themselves.
I’m not PC. I’m CS. That stands for common sense, and there’s a world of difference.
Trump certainly did start the birther movement lie and kept it up for at least 5 years. The only reason he confessed is because the media forced him into it.
I want to inform the union man’s wife that thinks her husband really works on the job. My ex-husband always told me that as well, but he took a stack of magazines to work everyday as well as his Gameboy and then I found out he played poker all day long with his co-workers except for when he was video-chatting with his girlfriend.
I gave the Ricketts family more credit for intelligence than to donate 1 million dollars to Trump. Now I know who I will be pulling for in the playoffs.
