A police sergeant talks with detectives at a crime scene in the 4500 block of South Wood Street early Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, in Chicago. A 17-year-old girl was fatally shot in the back of the head while sitting in the backseat of an SUV, which came to a stop in the 1800 block of West 47th Street. She was transported in critical condition to Holy Cross Hospital.
