Three people were seriously injured Saturday morning in a domestic-related stabbing in the city’s Oakland neighborhood.
Police and paramedics were called about 7:20 a.m. to the 3500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.
A 46-year-old woman was stabbed in the head, chest and left bicep. A 41-year-old man suffered wounds to the neck and left hand. Both victims were taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, Estrada said.
The third victim, a 36-year-old man, was stabbed in the face and left hand, and was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Stroger, Estrada said.
Preliminary reports indicated the stabbing was domestic-related, and one person was in police custody with charges pending.
