I am not surprised that the Chuck E Cheese’s in Oak Lawn is closing down. I think that it’s a good decision. In the end, someone could have been murdered there. It was only a matter of time.
I can’t help but notice in the police blotter that a lot of people seem to leave their car doors unlocked and their valuables in plain sight, then they’re shocked and outraged when thieves steal their belongings. Terrible. If someone is going to smash in your window, they’re going to smash in your window. You can’t do a whole lot about that. But when someone leaves a phone and a wallet on his car seat and doesn’t lock the doors, I really have a hard time feeling any sympathy for this individual when someone steals his items.
Why is that many Republicans don’t care if Donald Trump paid no federal taxes, but, cry, whine, and moan over people who are so poor that they don’t pay federal taxes? The guy lives the great life and benefits from our great country, but doesn’t contribute by paying taxes. A poor person has nothing. Please help me understand. And, they call themselves Christians?

What’s the deal? Each snow event it seems the same residential streets get plowed repeatedly while others wait for a first pass of the plows. There are also main roads that are supposed to be plowed and salted by the state or county and those, too, are ignored while we dangerously slip and slide around, oftentimes into the next day. Tinley Park should make agreements to plow these roads with our staff or press the state and county to do it. It’s a decades long problem that should have been rectified years ago.
