Rosary High School’s annual Fine Arts Dinner Theatre will be held Feb. 18 at the school, 901 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora.

The show’s theme is “An Evening with Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken,” and features performances from Rosary alumane, current students, choirs and orchestras, Marmion alumni and the Marmion Men’s Choir. Schwartz is best known for “Wicked,” “Godspell” and “Pippin,” and Alan Menken for “Newsies,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin” and “Beauty & The Beast.” The two collaborated on such Disney musicals as “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and “Pocahontas.”

Socializing begins at 5 p.m. in the Rosary foyer, dinner is at 6 p.m. and the curtain opens at 7:30 p.m.

Dinner for adults and students includes spinach salad, Chicken Vesuvio with oven roasted potatoes and green peppers, cheese lasagna, meatballs, grilled vegetables with balsamic vinegar, petite dinner rolls, and a dessert buffet. Soft drinks and water are included, and a cash bar with beer and wine will be available. The children’s meal includes macaroni and cheese, carrots, applesauce, and a petite dinner roll.

Dinner theater tickets must be purchased in advance and are $30 for adults, $20 for Rosary/Marmion students and staff, and $15 for children (with a children’s meal). Show-only tickets are $10. Doors will open for show-only patrons at 7 p.m. Dessert will be served to all patrons following the performance. Tickets are available at www.rosaryhs.com/dinner_theatre.

This year’s event will feature original pieces of art by Rosary students, raffle baskets, and auction items, schools officials. The event is sponsored by the Rosary Fine Arts Boosters and proceeds will go toward Rosary fine arts programs.
