Demolition of the last high-rise building of the notorious Cabrini-Green housing project began in March 2011 as a wrecking ball smashed and machinery chewed into the structure. At one time, the crime-ridden complex was home to 15,000 people. The last residents moved out of this building in December 2010 after living there for 20 years.
