About 680,000 Kids II Oball Rattles have been recalled after the company received 42 reports of the baby rattle breaking and releasing small beads. Complaints included two incidents of small beads found in children’s mouths and three incidents of children gagging.

Each rattle has a clear plastic disc on the outside of the ball that can break, releasing small beads and posing a choking hazard to young children. Cosumers should immediately take the recalled rattles away from children and contact the firm to receive a full refund.

Model number 81031 rattles with date codes T0486, T1456, T2316, T2856 and T3065 located on a small triangle on the inner surface of the rattle are included in the recall.

Consumers may visit the Oball recall site to determine whether their rattles are affected, or they can call Kids II toll-free at 877-243-7314 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central time Monday through Friday.
