WaterSmart emails

Steve Westly, head of a Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund, asked Mayor Rahm Emanuel to consider a business his firm had invested in. In April 2016, Westly asked Emanuel if the CEO of WaterSmart Software, which promotes water conservation, could meet with “anyone on your team.” Westly had not registered as a lobbyist.
