An Elgin man has been charged with his fourth DUI after West Dundee officers received a report Tuesday of a Chevrolet Suburban that was seen driving on its rims, according to West Dundee police.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop at 5:48 p.m. at South Eighth Street and Eichler Drive, according to a news release.

Jan Tiberi, 62, of the 200 block of Big Peninsula Road, Elgin, was charged with a class 2 felony count of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 0.16 or higher — fourth violation; a class 2 felony count of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol — fourth violation; three class 4 felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol —license revoked; and operating an unsafe motor vehicle, illegal transportation/possession of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Tiberi was given a $30,000 bond Wednesday and he remains in custody. He was given a May 4 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
