Since so many school districts are strapped for funds, may I suggest, with prom season just around the corner, how about all fees pertaining to your child’s education be paid before you can purchase a prom ticket.

This time, I agree with Geraldo, when he said there should be other options to President Donald Trump’s wall. Remember what our Gen. Patton said, “fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man.” They always can be breached by either going over, under or around it. Sure, it’d help but what we’re trying to stop, will still get through and cost us billions. How about mounds and mounds of much cheaper razor wire [electrified] ? This, along with Trump’s increased border patrol agents, along with “revolving” National Guard units that normally spend their “active” time, just sitting around their various camps?

This past weekend, the ABC Poll, reporting on the first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s administration was see on newscasts, the internet and in newspapers. Whether you agree with the results or not, I want you to consider the conclusions based on the fact that the poll was conducted with a sample of 1,004 adults — 31% Democrat, 24% Republican, 36% independent. (I found this information by following a link within the article.). Over 128 million people voted in the 2016 presidential election. The media gave way too much exposure to this poll. Another lesson learned.

By the laws they wrote, Illinois is supposed to pay its bills in 30 days. It doesn’t. It’s state law that our public schools are supposed to be funded at 69%. Not even close. State tax revenue is supposed to pay for the programs they mandate. Yeah, right. Our legislators are supposed to care more about us than their reelections. Not so. Who wouldn’t like a job with more non-work days than work days, great pay and even better perks, with absolutely no expectations or responsibility for their perpetual inaction? No wonder the same people are in office for as far back as I can remember.
