Sprint plans to open 105 new stores in the Chicago area by 2018, the company said Monday.
The cellular phone carrier said it expects to hire about 500 employees for the new Sprint and Boost Mobile stores, with locations in the city and suburbs including Schaumburg, Rosemont and Skokie.
Sprint needs more bricks-and-mortar stores to cater to a growing local customer base, Jim Mills, Sprint president of Illinois and Wisconsin, said in a news release.
