Despite our political differences, we all wish John McCain a thorough and speedy recovery. No matter what “some” have said, he is a true American hero. But think of the irony. Republicans consider his return to the Senate floor crucial because his vote is indispensable to passage of a GOP health care bill that would deprive others of the kind of care that he’s receiving.
In six months, Trump has tweeted 991 times, spent 40 days at Trump golf properties, and passed 0 major legislation.
There is no comparison between President Trump and President Obama. Trump lacks the wisdom and intellectual ability of Obama. Hillary Clinton was the smartest one yet. The stupid ones refuse to admit their mistake and make everyone pay for their ire.
Trump is furious that Attorney General Sessions has recused himself from the Russia investigation, which he is required to do by law. With zero knowledge of our laws, or government, he expects everyone to coverup for all of his fraudulent activities.
I may be a little skeptical but as much as I have seen so far Mr Trump hasn’t proven to me that he can walk on water.
After two unpleasant days parked on the Borman, I went back to my alternate route between Michigan City and Kankakee — U.S. 421 to U.S. 6 to Indiana 49 to Indiana 10 to Indiana 17. Thirteen fewer miles and a whole lot less frustrating, but too many trucks and detours are also now taking this route and I was held up here as well by a semi accident this week. Illiana tollway, where are you? A lifesaver you would be for me.
I loved Lake County Commissioner Jerry Tippy’s comment the other day: “We don’t have a financial problem; we have a spending problem.” I think this applies to every city and town, every county, every state and even the United States. They all keep imposing taxes on us (or taking out loans through bonds), and if they’d all get rid of the fluff (and also not hire all their family members and friends), governments could operate at reasonable budgets. It’s called fiscal responsibility!
This morning some people came to peddle their religion to me. I have a “no soliciting” sign on my door, which I pointed out. The proselytizer told me they weren’t selling anything as I closed my door. I would advise these people to look up the definition of “solicit” before they return to my house and I turn the garden hose on them.
All of these TV commentators keep saying that the Republicans and Trump need to put a win on the board. As if harming millions upon millions constitutes a win.
Yes, Trump Jr. is the first to have closed door meetings with the Russians. This is the first time in our history a family affair is running the country. These young people whom Trump Sr. Has given carte blanche to all phases of our government, have no political background and certainly should not have the power to make policy with foreign heads of state.
It’s so sad to see how all the politicians that we have in America are so consumed in their own beliefs that they’re willing to throw the American People under the bus!
Mueller won’t have to bring Trump to his knees. Trump shoots himself in his feet so often he hardly has any legs left to stand on. He stands under four feet tall now politically and morally and gets shorter by the day.
“Let Obamacare Fail.” You mean like the Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Airlines, Trump Steaks and Trump University? The problem is we can’t file for bankruptcy in the federal government. Did anyone explain that to the president?
Our lazy president takes off golfing every weekend, but insists that the Senate stay in town to get the job done. Work is so overrated and only for the little people.
My opposition to Trump isn’t partisan. It’s patriotism. I believe in bipartisan solutions. Trump is neither.
Trump’s favorite things are TV, Twitter and no tolerance for the truth. I loved your Quickly about the love/hate relationship republicans have on social issues. You hit the nail on the head.
It is not that the Democrats want to stop progress, they just want to stop the lunacy our current administration is trying to shove down our throats. I cannot see how you see this as treason. I think it would be treason if they stood by and did nothing.
