Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced fall programming for its multi-genre LookOut Series Monday, including performances part of the previously announced month-long Chicago International Latino Theater Festival. As part of “Destinos,” the inaugural festival, Steppenwolf’s 1700 Theatre will host ArteBoricua’s “Madea (Medea)” by Euripides (Oct. 5-8), Teatro Aguijon’s “La Muerte y la Doncella (Death and the Maiden)” (Oct. 12-15) by Ariel Dorfman, Teatro Ludi’s “El Espejo (The Mirror)” (Oct. 19-22) by Abelardo Estorino and Vueltas Bravas Producciones and Mitchell Productions Inc.’s “Miss Julia (Miss Julie)” (Oct. 26-28) by August Strindberg.

The next round of programming, outside of the festival, includes:

“In the Round: Labor Day BBQ with Kevin O’Donnell” (Sept. 5), featuring the House Theatre of Chicago company member and a wide-ranging group of musicians.

Pride Films and Plays’ “The Pulse Project” (Sept. 13), a reading of a one-hour play inspired by the Pulse Nightclub attack in June 2016.

Matthew Bodett’s mental illness exploration “Edge / Sharp Mined” Sept. 19).

Actor/musicians Erik Hellman and Jessie Fisher’s “Erik & Jessie and Everyone You Know Variety Show” (Sept. 25).

“Skits and Pieces” (Nov. 8) from Kelly Anderson Dance Theatre, featuring dance, theater and comedy from Anderson’s favorite productions.

“Rooming House” (Nov. 4-18) by Lucky Plush Productions, co-created by Julia Rhoads and Leslie Buxbaum Danzig.

Delfos Danza Contemporanea and Ensemble Dal Niente’s “Proa” (Dec. 2-3), for four dancers and harp.

The LookOut Series, presented year-round, takes place in the 1700 Theatre, 1700 N. Halsted St.
