A 36-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after he was hit by an SUV in the Norwood Park area, according to police.
About 3:35 p.m., the man was hit by a 2016 RAV4 SUV in the 6200 block of West Devon Avenue while trying to cross the street as he walked near the Caldwell Woods Forest Preserve, police said.
The man was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity had not been released by Sunday afternoon.
The driver was not issued any citations, according to police News Affairs.
