Tottenham Hotspur announced the transfer of 19-year-ol Argentinian defender Juan Foyth from Estudiantes.
The team managed by fellow Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino has signed Foyth until 2022. Foyth represented Argentina’s under-20 team 12 times, including his participation in the last Under-20 World Cup and the South American Youth Championship.
With five years ahead of him in the north side of London, Foyth could settle in the Spurs’ youth team while being an option for the future in Pochettino’s first squad.
The Argentinian is the third acquisition to arrive at Tottenham in a week, following the signings of Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez and Southampton goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
Spurs are also expected to complete the transfer of wing back Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain.
