When we open our computers or read the daily news, it’s always another government committee or investigation. It doesn’t matter if it’s by Democrats or Republicans. It’s just weeks, months of speculation wasting valuable time and our money without a definitive, final result. Why can’t our government finalize their constant investigations? I’d like to see or read “Clinton Guilty,” Comey Guilty,” or even “Trump Guilty” or the opposite “innocent.” As the saying goes, “everything has to come to an end” except when it pertains to our government. I agree with the writer from Orland Park regarding the soda tax. This scam is just to line the politicians pockets. The politicians get richer and the average working person will suffer. And does the brainchild behind this ridiculous tax know why people will suffer? Because every logically thinking adult who does the shopping in their home, will drive out of Cook County to buy their pop, Gatorade, flavored water (yes folks, flavored water with zero calories or chemicals, etc., is even taxed). And then, instead of going back to the store in Cook County to shop for everything else they need to buy, they will stay in the none Cook County store and do all of their shopping. Stores will lose so many customers and money from purchases being made elsewhere. How long will stores keep employees on their payroll when shoppers all start disappearing?

Maybe Cook County should not be in the health care business.

I’ve asked this over and over again — how is it that the Democrats say they look out for us when they tax us to death every time they get a chance? Democrats look out for us for more money to fill their pockets.
