French forward Ousmane Dembélé also had his hamstring affected, aside from a miscle tear in the same in the area, revealed Sakari Orava, the surgeon who performed his operation.
Orava revelead the injury to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, which confirmed the absence time determined by the club’s doctors (between three to four months) from the beginning.
Orava commented these type of injuries are seldom usual in such young patients. The forward will use crutches, and will be back in Barcelona on Wedensday after being hospitalized in a Turku, Finland hospital.
Dembélé suffered the injury during last weekend’s La Liga match at Getafe, and could be out between 18 to 25 matches in all competitions.
