Croatian goalkeeper Danijel Subasic and Italian defender Andrea Raggi have signed contract extensions to remain at Monaco, the club announced Wednesday.
“We are very pleased to announce the extension of Danijel and Andrea, two very important players in the AS Monaco project,” said Vadim Vasilyev, Monaco vice president and CEO. “They lived a lot in Monaco: the title in Ligue 2, the rise in the elite, the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the extraordinary season last year with the title of champion of France.”
Subasic’s new contrat will run through 2020, while Raggi’s is a one-year extension until 2019.
“We worked hard and succeeded in doing very beautiful things. I think everything that happens is deserved,” said the 32-year-old Subasic. “We feel that the club and the president are behind us and support us. We must continue to work and respond on the ground. I am very pleased to extend my contract with AS Monaco.”
“I am very happy to extend the adventure here because AS Monaco is my second family. It’s huge for me, it’s a lot of things,” said Raggi. “We’ve done great things together and I’m very happy to be able to continue the adventure here. “
