Chicago Fire midfielder Juninho underwent successful arthroscopic surgery, the club announced Wednesday.

Juninho, 28, missed the Fire’s last 12 regular season matches with a left knee injury before returning to the pitch in the MLS Playoff match against New York Red Bulls.

Juninho finished the 2017 MLS season with one goal and one assist in 21 appearances.

The club also announced the Brazilian is expected to be ready for offseason training camp in January.
