In order to change, we must be sick and tired of being sick and tired.
An enormous storm is coming. Democrats are wildly motivated to register their discontent for Trump, moderates are disgusted, and Trump’s base is depressed by his failure to deliver.
The problem with Devin Kelly falling through the cracks and not getting his proper punishment, is not the exception to the rule. It’s more like business as usual.
Mental illness is a serious issue. Sadly our government refuses to address it or fund it properly. They allow the mentally unfit to own firearms, though. They fixed that problem.
The so-called “Paradise Papers” reveal how the super-rich and corporations enjoy the freedoms and security that come with living or doing business in the United States but then do everything possible to avoid paying taxes here. Apple is among the worst.
Medicinal marijuana will help those people that suffer from chronic pain and possibly help the opioid crisis. It will also bring millions of tax dollars into the state. This is a no-brainer.
The prosecuting attorneys in Indiana don’t want marijuana legalized. Many of them would be out of people to prosecute if the drug were legal. The net gain to our national economy would be $3 billion less to house the criminals, and $8 billion more in revenue. That is an $11 billion addition to our bottom line and it would help ease the opioid epidemic as it is non-addictive.
No less than three or four local banks have recently published articles boasting about their recent profits. With such prosperity, it seems only appropriate that they would want to share just a little of their success with their investors, instead of, for example, paying only 0.75 percent interest on a $20,000 CD.
In Tuesday’s elections, the Democrats had some blow-out wins. The exit polls were very illuminating. The top issues for voters were gun regulations, healthcare and anti-Trump.
I was sad to hear that we may lose our railroad from Wisconsin to Kingsbury. I was hoping they would combine the right of way with the Illiana tollway from Kankakee to Michigan City. These two great ventures would have brought prosperity to the region, created many high paying jobs, reduced property taxes, made many wealthy land owners, remedied the Borman parking lot and greatly reduced travel time for I-94 Michigan City to I-55 Kanakakee. It’s a crying shame. Back to the horse and buggy days.
Since when did conservatives suddenly and conveniently become bored with getting to the bottom of the Russian conspiracy? As it turns out, they are not bored, they just want the conspiracies to involve liberals.
The mystery is why certain conservatives who were once Trump’s fiercest critics have become his biggest apologists?
If your ambition scares your man, drop him like a hot potato. He is not man enough for you. He needs his Mom, not a wife.
Everyone should be concerned with foreign interference in our elections. That should not be contingent on who gets indicted or convicted. Everyone should wonder why this administration has little interest in learning how and why the Russians were able to carry out their plan.
Why is Trump giving South Korea a 6th grade history lesson on North Korea? South Koreans must really appreciate his scholarly outlook.
Maine voters embraced Obamacare, rejected their Republican governor and expanded Medicaid to 70,000 low-income people. Let the people make these decisions.
