When and how do we get back to “citizen legislators,” as the Founding Fathers envisioned? It is abundantly clear that the wealthy career politicians must be replaced with intelligent, civic-minded individuals who have the future of our country and its people as their top priority.

The GOP reaction to Roy Moore’s allegations — we’re learning that the phrase “if true” is to (molestation) what “thoughts and prayers” are to mass shootings — is an excuse for inaction.

How many years will it take before women and children are free from sexual harassment and abuse?

I was more than impressed by President Trump’s Asia tour. The man is indeed making great strides to improve our position with the rest of the world. The damage done the prior eight years is finally being remedied. Great man is our president. Respect has finally come back to the U.S.

Anthony Weiner goes to prison for sexting a 15-year-old girl, and both parties rightly condemn him. Roy Moore starts to fundraiser after several allegations of (molesting teens), and Alabama Republicans defend him.

We, the citizens of the USA, complain about Congress doing nothing, then we complain when they do something like the tax bill. Perhaps doing nothing is better than doing something, because every time they do something it costs the taxpayers.

The selective religious right are hard to take. They are OK with affairs, molesting kids and ripping off taxpayers on Tuesday through Saturday. They pray for forgiveness on Sunday, and then they ride their high horse of moral superiority on Monday.

Trump’s solid 30 percent support will not go away because his most ardent supporters cannot admit that they were conned. It’s too embarrassing.

We have three UCLA basketball players stuck in China for shoplifting. I am sorry, but I do not feel sorry for them. All of these superstar athletes are coddled and led to believe that they are untouchable. Things are different in China. Time to grow up, guys.

Alt-right leader Richard Spencer booked the University of Florida for a speech. He paid for the event with a check for $10,564. Now that check has bounced. No more events for this fraud.

Is there anything that is above party politics? Breaking the law, in any capacity, should be grounds for dismissal.
