Some local newspapers’ headlines are about President Donald Trump wanting more tax breaks. What has Chicago done for Trump? They removed honorary Trump street signs. They’re trying to take down the letters on Trump Tower. He owes no loyalty to Chicago. Mayor Rahm Emanuel hates his guts. Gov. Bruce Rauner isn’t a friend, nor is Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. Even if I wasn’t in that situation, I’d want all the tax breaks I could get. He’s not asking for anything he’s not legally entitled to. Trump, elected as a Republican, has no problems going to Democratic Ald. Ed Burke, the best tax lawyer in Illinois, to get his tax breaks so Trump does believe in nonpartisan politics.

First it was former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and then it was former FBI Director James Comey. President Donald Trump . . . doesn’t have a clue. He doesn’t know the first thing about how politics work or our government.

I don’t know what’s the reason for President Donald Trump bashing. You’ve got ex-President Barack Obama, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel doing worse things and nobody says anything about it. You’ve got a mayor who’s taxing so much of the people of Chicago and they just sit by and take it instead of protesting like they do protests against Trump.
I was driving down the street and, lo and behold, gasoline went up yet again. Is there any correlation between this and the fact that there are two major holidays? That’s suspicious that these oil and gas companies are raising the cost at this time of year. You’ve got your gas bills and everything more expensive because of heat. Lots of bills are going up because of the furnace coming on. Also, you’ll be spending money on Christmas presents and holiday stuff, so let’s hit you at the gas pump too . . .. That’s crazy.
