Headline: County approves budget with 321 layoffs. Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle previously said there would have to be layoffs because of the soda tax repeal. So now, over 300 staff employees in various departments will lose their jobs. Now, Preckwinkle is remorseful. She feels so sorry about it. Maybe President Donald Trump can stop costing us millions with his golf trips. Think of how many people can get health insurance with those millions.
