If a leader can discredit the media, there is no one to keep them in check. They can do as they please and turn news into propaganda. This is how dictators are born.
What is the mentality or the end game for the Trump fans that enjoy his shenanigans? What do they get out of his sick games? What is in it for them? Are they so dense that they do not realize that they are the losers in the end?
All these GOP Senators who had nasty things to say about Trump are, predictably, falling in line in support of this dumpster fire of a tax plan that will enrich the already rich and actually increase the taxes paid by many middle class taxpayers. In the end, Republicans just can’t stop being Republicans. The donor class owns them.

Has anyone read “The Emperor’s New Clothes?” This takeover in Gary reads a lot like it. Where is Black Lives Matter when it counts? It appears that everyone is profiting from this takeover except the children. Why can’t the students have reduced class sizes and tutoring programs that have guaranteed results and are individualized like Sylvan, instead of just longer school days?
Just what Lake County needs, another career politician — state Rep. Charlie Brown. We need new blood in government or it’s going to be the same-old, same-old.
So much talk about voter suppression. Yet why isn’t anyone asking the most important question of all: Are Trump backers really fit for voting? Did they know what they were doing?

What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? How about taking some of these accusers to court and talking under oath and letting a jury decide.
Trump is now saying that maybe that is not his voice on the “Access Hollywood tape.” That is all part of his lifelong habit of attempting to create and sell his own version of reality. His advisers say he continues to privately harbor a handful of conspiracy theories that have no grounding in fact.
John McCain should go quietly into the sunset with his 17 houses, his boatload of money and his progressive opinions. Like the progressive liberals that are only interested in padding the own pockets and being obstructionist, he should garner the same advice he gave Hillary: Get over it and just go away. He has enough money to make him and his families dreams all come true, doesn’t he? Where are the term limits we so badly need?
Lucian Wintrich, a White House correspondent for the right-wing website The Gateway Pundit, was arrested for assaulting a student at UConn while giving a speech called “It’s OK to be white.” Gateway Pundit is a pro-Trump blog that has a history of pushing conspiracy theories. Why do they have press credentials in the White House?
