It really grieves me to see that Mary Beth Bonaventura has resigned as the Director of the Department of Child Services. She had an impeccable record as judge in the juvenile division in Lake County. The idea that they would take away her power and cut the funding speaks volumes. Does Indiana want to turn into the state of Illinois?
In a perfect world, the billionaire business owners that are getting a huge tax break, would do the right thing. They would hire more American workers, they would give existing workers a hefty raise and benefits including healthcare. What are the odds of that happening? I won’t hold my breath.
Trumpsters keep criticizing every else for not falling in line and believing the propaganda about the tax bill, new jobs and “Making America Great Again.” You fail to realize that everyone else is a critical thinker and can see the whole picture. They can’t be lulled into false promises.
Anyone that’s surprised by the GOP tax bill hasn’t been paying attention. Big bags of cash for their rich donors and a big jar of Vaseline for the middle class.
Nikki Haley, our ambassador to the United Nations, spitefully threatens that the United States might well withdraw funding from the organization over their overwhelming vote condemning Trump’s plans to relocate our Israeli embassy to Jerusalem. Besides all the other things Trump is destroying, is he going to destroy the United Nations too? This truly is a new age of dishonor for America on the world stage.
Americans should never be inciting violence against each other. If you are, there is something very wrong with you.
The GOP can have their fun and games for a short while. But it won’t be long before it all falls down all around them. Voters have become quite angry with their arrogance and outright lies. Many decent Republicans have turned against these opportunists. The fallout will be brutal.
Ben Carson led a prayer and the president told reporters to stay “You need the prayer more than I do, I think.” This president doesn’t need to be counseling anyone on their religious needs.
Paul Ryan is acknowledging “nobody knows” if the sweeping tax cuts Congress is enacting will produce enough economic growth to fend off soaring federal deficits. Of course they won’t.
All of these companies announcing these raises on the day of the tax bill are looking for something from this administration.
Can you imagine how quiet Facebook would be if Trump supporters actually fact-checked what they heard on Fox News before they spread it?
Watching our legislators craft such a self-serving tax bill reeks of affluenza. These people that are currently running our government have no clue or no cares about anything that affects anyone other than themselves.
Why is Trump waiting until after the new year to sign this tax bill into law? Is it to reap some financial benefits or to stall an imminent impeachment?
