Since the NFL does not seem to be capable of managing itself … why not just dissolve the NFL at the end of this season and start up a new football league next year with some rules.

In the new year, we all need to start being more loving and less judgmental. Hate breeds hate and that is no way to live.

Only because of the vigilance of Senate Democrats has Donald Trump been kept from naming conservative bigots, racists, and even white supremacists to lifetime appointments to the federal judiciary. But, alas, they’ve only been able to stop some of them, not all. The bad eggs that have slipped through will be shaping our laws for decades to come.

Discipline of a child doesn’t include a gun.

Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are always preaching the virtues of the “free market” system, but then Trump spouts off about the higher postage rates he thinks Amazon should be paying and their market value goes down by nearly a percentage point. Do you think the fact that the guy who owns most of Amazon also owns The Washington Post? Surely not.

There is nothing worse than loud talkers. Being in a public place and having to endure loud talkers is just torture. I always want to say “Inside voices please” but I don’t dare.

Having contact with the Indiana Department of Child Services, I can certify that the article by the Associated Press is 100 percent correct: This is “an agency in perpetual triage with a workforce spread so thin that caseworkers have no choice but to cut corners.” The powers in Indianapolis propose to cut funding?

A handful of commenters in Quickly single out those “willing to make an honest living” as being the only ones due any special treatment in our society. I suppose their list of those “not willing to make an honest living” would include the really old, the really young, the disabled, the sick or infirm, and all the other shiftless freeloaders who are a drag on Trump’s efforts to Make America Great Again.

I am so happy about the new GOP tax cuts that I could do somersaults Hey, none of my family is rich, some may even be lower middle class. But from what we all read, we all come out like bandits with these new tax cuts. The big knocker that gives us all a big boost is the doubling of the standard deduction. Sure, after than we gain or lose a few minor deductions. I am not worried about cuts expiring in the future because whomever takes over in 2020 will be pressured to extend the cuts if he/she expects to get elected. Thank you Donald for improving our standard of living.
