Here we go again. Democrats are pushing recreational marijuana. The first thing out of their mouths is “tax revenue.” Next, it will be the money is for the children just like video gambling and the Illinois Lottery.

My 27-year-old daughter got an offer to move Texas and start up a business in the field she is in. The weather is better, the taxes are lower and the politicians are more honest. It will break my heart not to see her as often, but for her sake my only advice was to go for it. Illinois has nothing to offer young people but lessons in what will happen to a state if corruption is allowed to flourish. . .

So, J.B. Pritzker is in favor of a progressive tax so the rich pay their fair share. I wonder if that’s why he allegedly cut a deal on his property tax.

Current policing and officers hiding to catch speeders is just not working. There aren’t enough officers and they can’t be everywhere. Instead of hiding in an attempt to catch speeders, how about parking manned and even unmanned squads in plain sight with the emergency lights flashing? Everyone slows down when they see those. That’s what’s needed for drivers to slow down.
