Roy Dominguez has persuaded his wife to file to run for Sheriff of Lake County. Yes, we know who would be running the office if she would win. Stop this madness.

The North Porter County Conservation Club is trying to keep their tax-exempt status. They claim they qualify because of educational and charitable efforts. The Porter County Sheriff’s use their property only one day a month. Sorry, pay your long overdue taxes.

I think Peggy Hinckley is doing a great job. She is just dealing with the facts and not emotions. No one from Gary could solve the problem so the parents and students will just have to accept the facts. The free ride is over and you have to pay your bills. Money does not always fix the problem. It all starts with the parents and that is Gary’s problem. The parents are not doing their job at home.

I always understood that America had a racist undercurrent, a racist underbelly. But the covert, unashamed racism that has become so casual in today’s America is beyond words.

“To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.”

The reason these kids are challenging there parents on who’s the smarter one, is because Google has 67 percent of them thinking that there smarter than what they are. I have a 38, 36 and 35 year old that I’m having the same problem with. My 17-year-old granddaughter is off the charts, and she has yet to land a job but is going to graduate this year. At least my 35-year-old son-in-law calls it what it is, useless knowledge. Just like a text message is a good excuse to not come see me and it doesn’t fly at my house.

Why do the banks insist on controlling your funds? They don’t pay you any interest but they want to make sure and funnel any excessive money out of your checking account into somewhere that they can use your money. It’s there for my use, not yours.

Remember Trump’s promise to introduce “extreme vetting” in order to insure American security? He and his administration cannot even properly screen people working at the White House. Several in sensitive positions have not been given security clearance. Several have quit due to conflicts of interest. Some have even been charged with crimes. Maybe what he really meant was Extremely Poor Vetting.

Why isn’t there a law requiring a presidential candidate to be able to pass a security clearance before being allowed to run for office?

Hillary’s private server and email to staff was such a security problem to the GOP. But all of these employees running around the White House without a security clearance is just no big deal. Please tell me again why you hate Hillary so much?

Please, do tell, what have the “sore losers” been doing to “trainwreck” the economy? Do you really think that everybody in the entire Democratic Party wants the stock market to crash just to be able to say “I told you so?” You need to rethink your entire thought process, because it makes no sense whatsoever.

Former Trump aide Omarosa says she wouldn’t vote for him again. But she said that a Pence presidency would be worse. “He’s extreme. He thinks Jesus tells him to say things.” She is a bit odd, but she is right on target here.

Trump is confident that he knows how to rebuild America’s infrastructure because he once built an ice rink and it’s “really no different.” OK, sure.

President Obama tried to get a infrastructure bill passed and the Republicans would not allow that to happen. Under Trump, they are all for it. Go figure.

When I was a teen and in my early twenties I thought I knew everything. As I got older, I realized I didn’t know much and went to others for guidance. With age comes wisdom. Everyone goes through it. It is part of the cycle of life.
