Trump and Putin say that Russia didn’t interfere in our elections. the CIA , the FBI, our Army, Navy, our Air Force, and Marine Intelligence officers, President Obama , Clapper, Yates, Comey, President Bush and Special Counsel Mueller say they did. Are you going to believe two lying dictators or America?
The AR-15 assault rifle used in the Florida school shooting was also used at the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that killed 27 people. It was used in the Colorado movie theater shooting that killed 12 people, and in the California office shooting where 14 people were killed and in Las Vegas where 58 people were killed. As of 2014, there were over 9 million AR-15s, in the United States.
I will agree with anything the GOP wants to do with Social Security and Medicare when Paul Ryan gives back the money that Social Security gave him for college, the government puts back the trillion dollars they took from Social Security, and Congress goes on Social Security & Medicare.
More than 130 political appointees working in the White House do not have a permanent security clearance as of November 2017. That includes Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Don McGahan.
We should not allow the Second Amendment to be a suicide pact. The Columbine massacre was in 1999, that was 19 years ago. Our politicians have done nothing to stop this madness since then.
If Wirt/Emerson School is closed, what is going to keep it from falling into the disrepair that other school buildings have, like nearby Nobel Elementary?
Buried on page 719 of fiscal year 2019 budget, the president calls for cuts to the National Criminal Records History Improvement Program and the NICS ACT Record improvement Program. These are for reporting criminal records, and reporting protections orders to the national database for background checks including domestic violence records. Really nice.
I was disappointed in some media outlets that couldn’t wait to post the picture of the accused Florida high school gunman wearing his “Make America Great Again” hat. You can’t say Trump has any responsibility in this matter any more than you can say Obama, Bush, etc., were responsible for attacks during their terms. On the other hand, I wish our young people could be as safe in school as we expect people to be on our airplanes every day.
Indiana Senator Todd Young said “Heartbroken by the news in Florida. Sending prayers to the students, faculty, families, first responders and everyone affected by this horrific tragedy.” I bet he wasn’t too heartbroken to accept $73,785 in campaign cash from the NRA and get an “A” grade from them.
Every time there’s a mass shooting, Republicans come out and say we should do something to improve our mental health system, then they do nothing. I agree something needs to be done, and I realize gun control just isn’t going to happen. It’s time to start holding Republicans’ feet to the fire over their claim to care about improving mental health in this country. We have to start somewhere, so let’s do something we at least all claim to agree upon.
