
Clarenon Hills resident Sheri Walker fulfilled a lifelong dream when she opened Club Pilates in early February at 18 W. Burlington Ave., La Grange.
Q: Was your dream to open a Pilates business or any type of business?
A: It was always my dream to open my own business, and I’ve always been into fitness and love Pilates, so this made sense.
Q: What did you do for work before you opened your business?
A: I worked for Harley-Davidson for 17 years, and it was a great company to work for, but it was time for me to do this now.
Q: Why did you choose La Grange for your business?
A: It’s a great community. I love Clarendon Hills, too, but La Grange has a bigger downtown area.
Q: Are you married, and do you have any kids?
A: I have been married for nine years to Ted, and we have a son, Kellen, who is 7, and 3 1/2-year-old identical twin boys, Ashton and Brayden.
Q: When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: A teacher. I loved helping others and helping others learn.
Q: What is your biggest pet peeve?
A: People who commit and don’t follow through
Q: Who should play you in a movie about your life?
A: Sarah Jessica Parker
Q: What super power would you most like to have?
A: Replicating myself, so I could get everything done
Q: What’s your guilty pleasure?
A: Anything chocolate
Q: What’s your favorite TV show?
A: ‘Games of Thrones’
Q: What’s your favorite area restaurant?
A: Thipi Thai. I love the one in La Grange, and I’m excited that they just opened in Clarendon Hills.
