Two men who were killed in separate homicides within several hours on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning have been identified.
Elijah Green, 32, of the 7600 block of South Crandon Avenue, was shot around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday while in a car in the 4800 block of West Washington Boulevard in the West Side’s South Austin neighborhood, police said.
A relative took him to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:22 p.m. Police no other details about the killing.
On the South Side, 69-year-old Daniel M. Luchins was stabbed to death by his adult son around 3 a.m. Wednesday in the block where he lived in the 5300 block of South Shore Drive in the East Hyde Park neighborhood, police said.
He was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:41 a.m.
His son was taken into custody.
