A 74-year-old man was killed in a crash on Interstate 294 near the 163rd tollway plaza in Markham Saturday morning, authorities reported.
Thomas Schnettler of Apache Junction, Ariz. was pronounced dead at 10:28 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash occurred at 10:01 a.m., Illinois State Police reported, when a passenger car hit the median and overturned.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
