When I was young and angry at the world, I thought it would be pretty great to see institutions torn down and to watch the world burn. Gotta say, as great a job as these Trump people are doing wrecking things up, this is not what I had in mind and I wish they would knock it off.

Trump has shown that when it comes to negotiating with powerful, competitive countries like Russia and China, he’s a total wimp. Then he plays the tough guy with our friends and allies, insulting and bullying them. They won’t be friends and allies much longer.

Paul Ryan entered Congress in 1999 with a net worth of $392,865. He is leaving Congress with at least $6 million. But people that need Social Security are the problem in this country.

One thing about them tables … they always turn.

When I go shopping, I look for the best deal. If Walmart beats Kmart, then Walmart gets the business. Trade should be the same way — free trade with no tariffs. May the best supplier get the business. We need to improve our performance of American industry instead of just adding tariffs. The same goes for other countries — putting tariffs on our beans or corn decreases the amounts we export.

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark, the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

It is really pathetic that educated people, attorneys, people with advanced degrees, will slip into the slime of politics and argue for things that they know are not true. Money and power are not the the only thing in life that matters.

When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser. Sound familiar?

Trump keeps trying to demean the FBI. It couldn’t be that the FBI counterintelligence investigation against the Russians kept finding lead after lead headed right back to Trump associates, his family, his properties and his campaign. If the FBI shows up at your door, chances are that you did something to bring them there.

I’m just wondering if that Quickly contributor who is always bragging about Trump’s “successes” counts among them the appointment of people like Scott Pruitt, Betsy DeVos, Tom Price, Ben Carson, Ryan Zinke, or any of the more than 30 administration staff (those “very best people”) who have either been fired or have resigned in the last year. Or been indicted.

I think the reason former president Obama called president Trump a clown, is because he was standing in front of the mirror and it was the first thing that came into his mind when he seen his reflection. It’s a shame a former president would stoop to that level, but coming from Chicago it’s no surprise.

I cannot understand why these liberals are always criticizing the Republicans. Republicans are nothing but educated Democrats! Is the educated part that drives these Liberals crazy?
